Description
Introduction
Audwave specialists have performed exhaustive research into damping effects of various natural materials – mineral crystals, metals and woods. With right combination of these materials it is possible to achieve, sound tuning and optimization effect.
Typically audiophile tuning feet are used as three or four identical design feet and have identical sound characteristics. Audwave VI-3 feet on the other hand allows unprecedented tuning diversity to maximize sound quality by using three or four different feet. Each such feet have distinct sound characteristics and as a result complement each other strong facets while excluding weak points. Thereby great synergy is achieved. Unprecedented diversity of sound tuning possibility is given to the user.
Immediate short term and long term impression resulting from the use of Audwave VI-3 feet is the strong emotional impact the system is capable to produce. This is achieved by effect of much more natural and diverse timbre characteristics, enhanced three-dimensional spatial focus, elevated micro and macro dynamic gradation and balanced proportion of leading-edge impact, sustain and decay of musical notes.
Application example and guidelines
Upon insertion under any system’s electronic equipment of three most general Audwave A, B, C feet – these changes in sound quality are observed:
- soundstage becomes more three dimensional with much better focused images,
- timbres became richer and much better developed in all frequency bands,
- micro dynamic resolution increases,
- more air around instruments is gained,
- vocals became more intimate (voices breathe and vibrate in free space),
- music gains higher rhythmic tempo and expansive macro dynamics,
- each musical note is better developed with faster initial transient, longer sustain and decay.
As a result of all this sound becomes much more involving and less artificial. Even cheap electronics start to sound much more like real live music rather than hi-fi music reproduction system. Further sound fine tuning can be performed by replacing one feet from each group by other feet of the same group one at a time to produce incredibly personalized sound profile.
Also it is possible to change sound balance from highs to midrange or bass and from bass to midrange or highs. For example if you want to change your system to have less highs and more midrange you will need to remove feet from Group 3 (highs enhancement feet) and replace it with feet from Group 1, 2.
Detailed description
Audwave VI-3 have 3 main groups of tuning feet:
Group 1 – midrange enhancement feet
Group 2 – bass enhancement feet
Group 3 – highs enhancement feet
Group 1 midrange tuning feet:
The feet in these group have biggest impact on midrange. Midrange forms the most important fundament of sound reproduction, therefore we suggest to start with this group.
A feet characteristics:
A feet is considered one of base feet’s and when you start experimenting with feet from Group 1 it is suggested to start with A feet.
- works in midrange
- incredible gain in midrange diversity, naturalness and richness
- impressive 3D soundstage depth
- enhanced sustain of musical notes
D feet characteristics:
- works in lower highs and midrange
- ability to make more distinct vocals
- midrange emphasis but not as rich as with A feet
- less deep but more forward soundstage
F feet characteristics:
- works in midrange
- Incredible sound stage illumination and clarification effect
- very deep 3D soundstage with especially well focused central part
- enhanced sustain of musical notes
- enhanced transient speed
F2 feet characteristics:
- works in lower high and upper midrange
- Incredible sound stage illumination and clarification effect
- very deep 3D soundstage with especially well focused central part
- enhanced sustain of musical notes
- enhanced transient speed
- enhanced deep bass impact
K feet characteristics:
- works in lower high and midrange
- very rich but also very clear midrange
- wide and deep soundstage
- enhanced sustain of musical notes
- very high micro dynamic resolution (clarification effect)
K2 feet characteristics:
- most balanced feet equally works in all ranges (high-mid-bass) therefore can replace feet in any group
- wide soundstage
- enhanced sustain of musical notes
- very high micro dynamic resolution (clarification effect)
- better speed and music attack
K3 feet characteristics:
- balanced feet similar to K2
- works in lower high and midrange, midbass
- very rich but also very clear midrange
- very high micro dynamic resolution (clarification effect)
- better speed and music attack
Group 2 – bass tuning feet:
C feet characteristics:
C feet is considered one of base feet’s and when you start experimenting with feet from Group 2 it is suggested to start with C feet.
- works in lower mid-bass and bass region
- deep bass extension and power boost
- less deep but more forward soundstage
- leading edge transient speed emphasis
G feet characteristics:
- works in midrange and bass region
- rich midbass emphasis
- very rich midrange spatial cues
- more textures in midrange but in some cases may be too much
- very spacious 3D soundstage
- enhanced sustain of musical notes
- enhanced decay of musical notes
E feet characteristics:
- works in midrange and bass region
- Incredible 3D sound stage expansion in all directions
- very fast transient impact
- unrestricted expansive macro dynamics
- excellent midrange spatial cues
H feet characteristics:
- works in lower mid-bass and bass region
- deep bass extension
- rich midrange cues
- wide soundstage with good depth
- enhanced sustain of musical notes
- enhanced decay of musical notes
- extended but soft highs
Group 3 – highs tuning feet:
B feet characteristics:
B feet is considered one of base feet’s and when you start experimenting with feet from Group 3 it is suggested to start with B feet.
- works in lower high and upper midrange
- Impressive gain in lower high and upper midrange diversity
- speakers disappearing act
- electrized airy 3D soundstage
- enhanced decay of musical notes
- music feels more fluid
J feet characteristics:
- works in upper high region
